Story

He was born in a family of 13 generations of traditional medicine, Dr. Hoang Sam is a passionate and devoted researcher of medicinal materials. He is known as a good physician, a talented scientist. He is currently holding the position of “President of the Vietnam Indigenous Medical Institute” and was dubbed the “Revival of indigenous medicine in the country”.

Born: February 15, 1954

Position: Chairman of Vietnam Indigenous Medical Institute.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated as a general practitioner at Bac Thai Medical University (now the Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy).
  • Graduated from Specialist I – Traditional Medicine at Hanoi Medical University.
  • Bachelor of Laws – Hanoi Law University (in-service)
  • Training on Traditional Medicine (Organized by WHO)

 

Employment history:

1983 – 2009: Lecturer of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy

2005 – 2012: Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Thai Nguyen Traditional Medicine Manufacturing and Trading facility

2012 to present: Chairman of Vietnam Institute of Indigenous Medicine

 

Achievements: 

There have been 23 studies on Vietnamese pharmaceuticals, in which 5 studies were published in newspapers and intensive medical journals.
